We suggest attendants to book well in advance as rooms are sparse in this time of year due to numerous fairs and congresses. Torre Girona Residence Hallblank_page, which is is in the university area of Barcelona and within walking distance to the venue, is our main suggestion. Nevertheless, there are many hotels nearby (see the list of hotels with UPC special rates here).

Please remember to refer to UPC on booking!

How to get to Torre Girona Residence Hall

By plane

The Prat airport, which is 16 km from Barcelona, is well communicated with the city centre by several means of transport:

  • Taxi: it usually costs between 25-30 €.
  • Train: there are trains to Barcelona every 30 minutes. You must get off at Sants station and from there take the Metro, line L3 (green), until Palau Reial or Maria Cristina stations.
  • Bus (Aerobus): it stops at Plaça Catalunya, from there take the Metro, line L3 (green), until Palau Reial or Maria Cristina stations.
By Metro

The green line (L3) will leave you very near the residence hall. You must get off at Palau Reial or Maria Cristina stations, take Pedralbes Avenue and walk for 5 - 10 minutes until you reach the residence hall.

By bus

Barcelona has a very wide bus network. There are several lines that stop near the residence hall (7, 33, 63, 67, 68, 74, 75 and 78). To check which one is most convenient for you, you may refer to the TMB's website. There you will find very useful information on the timetable, routes, fares, etc., and on how to move around Barcelona.
